What is UV DTF?

UV DTF (Direct To Film) transfers are innovative crafting materials that:

  • Use UV-cured adhesive instead of traditional powder coating
  • Don’t require heat application like traditional transfers
  • Create permanent, durable designs when applied correctly
  • Work on various hard surfaces, anything you can apply a sticker to!
  • Save time and equipment costs (no heat press needed!)

Application Steps

Prepare Your Surface
  • Remove dust, oils, and debris
  • Wipe with rubbing alcohol if needed
  • Let dry completely before application

Cut Your Design
  • Leave a small margin (1-2mm) around the design
  • Use sharp scissors for clean edges
  • For intricate designs, cut closer to the edge

Position Your Design
  • Position design face-up (adhesive side down)
  • Align carefully before pressing down
  • Use tape to mark position if needed

Apply Firm Pressure
  • Use a squeegee or credit card to apply pressure
  • Work from center outward to remove air bubbles
  • Apply firm, even pressure across the entire design

Peel Backing Film
  • Start from one corner and peel slowly
  • If design lifts, press back down and try again
  • Peel at a sharp angle for best results

Final Press & Enjoy!
  • Press firmly one more time over the entire design
  • Allow 24 hours for maximum adhesion
  • Your UV DTF transfer is now permanently applied!

Tips & Tricks

i Surface Compatibility
UV DTF works best on smooth, non-porous surfaces. Test on a small area first if unsure.
i Storage
Store unused UV DTF transfers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve adhesive quality.
i Washing Care
If the item you’ve attached your transfer to is dishwasher safe, you can still dishwash the item. Top rack recommended.
i Troubleshooting
If you’re having trouble removing top sheet, try peeling from another corner or angle. A sharp flat angle is usually best to ensure your print doens’t rip.
